Mark your calendars for Monday, May 5, 2025, and come to Llandaff Cathedral from 11am to 3pm for our Green Spring Fair—a vibrant day celebrating eco-friendly living and the spirit of togetherness! Nestled within our historic walls, recently honoured with the A Rocha UK Silver EcoChurch Award in December 2024 (the first cathedral in Wales to achieve this!), this event promises something special for everyone.
Discover Eco Delights: Explore a delightful array of stalls showcasing sustainable treasures—think handcrafted jewellery, unique gifts, home décor, books, scrumptious jams and chutneys, original art, lush plants, and tasty food. Every item reflects our commitment to a greener future.
Fun for All Ages: Bring the little ones for free children’s activities from 11am to 3pm, including craft workshops and nature trails that spark curiosity and a love for the planet. These hands-on experiences, set against the cathedral’s stunning architecture, will inspire young minds to care for the environment.
Pedal Power with Dr Bike: Roll up on two wheels for a free bike check-up with Dr Bike from 11:30am to 2:30pm! Our expert mechanics, armed with recognised qualifications, a mobile workshop, and a stash of spare parts, will fix urgent faults on the spot—whether it’s a wobbly wheel or a squeaky brake. It’s the perfect way to keep your bike road-ready while supporting sustainable travel.
Music to Lift the Soul: Relax in Our Lady Chapel’s pop-up café, where the enchanting harp of Aisha Palmer—winner of the 2023 Instrumental Blue Ribbon Award at Eisteddfod Genedlaethol—will weave magic through the air. Joining her are the Phoenix Singers, South Wales’ beloved ladies’ choir since 2010, whose rich melodies of pop, Welsh classics, and more have graced the Millennium Centre and beyond.
The Green Spring Fair is more than an event—it’s a chance to celebrate our planet, connect with our community, and revel in the harmony of music and nature. Entry is free, so gather your friends, family, and bikes, and join us at Llandaff Cathedral for a day of inspiration and joy. Let’s make sustainability sing!
